Dialogue II

Outside the door, Jack could hear men calling to see if anyone was alive.

“I, I am!” Jack shouted with grief.  Several men dressed in heavy armor picked him up and put Jack onto a horse.  They were the knight of Valkyria; servants of The King.  Jack had fallen asleep as soon as his legs touched the horse.

“Hello, Sir?” A sweet voice from a young lady echoed in the vast bedroom.  Jack twitched and got up startled.

“Where am I?” He said with wide eyes. “Am I dead?”

The maid giggled and said “No, you’re safe within the King’s guestroom inside the Valkyrian Castle.” The lady was pale and skinny but her eyes were shinning beautifully.  “I heard you were found in the village of Ashlock.”

“That’s right, and what may be your name?”

“Envy, and what might be yours?”

“Ah,” Jack was mesmerized by the beauty of the young lady. “Oh, um, mines Jack, I am in my fifteen.”

Envy giggled again.  Her innocent eyes stared at Jack with her hands folded under her stomach.  She ran down the castle staring back into the room.  Jack could only but smile back knowing he had fallen in love.

Jack turned and gazed out the window. The moon was high in the sky, and he drifted on the bed dreaming of his lover.

"She's perfect," he whispered to himself. He could here her sweet voice whisper in his ear all night while he slept.

Years passed and Jack grew up the rest of his life in the Castle of the King, whose name was Charles.  Although Charles the king had a name, he preferred to be called The King or King of Valkyria instead.  Jack grew to his eighteen and was in need of a girl to marry.  Jack always wanted to propose to Envy.  But little did he know the King fancied her as well.
