Week Before Finals

So it been a strange week being that last official week of the school year.  Senior's that I've know as Junior's last year are all gone now and I've come to realized that the amount of people older than me is growing significantly less.  There used to be three classes now only one.  Time does fly by quickly. It been a great week, its been a fun year.  I don't have much I need to study for and I'm ready for summer.  I hope everything goes alright.

A Few Weeks Before It's Over

Its interesting how the year has gone by so fast.  Taking a look back into my past blogs, I've come to realize that the year truly was a fast one, in fact about 47 blogs long.  There isn't much to talk about this week besides that I had an Orchestra Concert which went just fine.  We found out this week that Mr. Mascari was getting affected by budget cuts so he'll no longer be with us.  Other than that, its been a wonderful year and quickly approaching my third year of high school.  Looking down my Facebook I've been seeing a lots of graduation photos and I realize that many of them were friends back in Elementary School that graduated when I was in 6th grade.  It really is a strange experience knowing that they are graduating again already.

Another Weekend

I almost forgot that Monday would be Memorial Day and we wouldn't have school.  The trip to the zoo was fun and I got to spend some time with Kacper.  I've been thinking about getting myself a complete Leader 721 or 725 bike for the summer so I can ride around.  I've been thinking about skateboarding more often too.  The days have been kinda strange with the weather beings sunny then rainy.  Otherwise, fun week, great to know school's almost over.

The Weekend

I've had a pretty decent weekend and the weather the following weeks supposes to be quite nice.  There isn't much I have to worry about besides my Chem test that's coming up. I'm not really worried about the English test because I've read the book before in 8th and watched the movie so I still remember a lot from the book.  Everything should be fine and the weeks gone on pretty easy.  Kinda surprised that there is only 20 days left of school.

Week Again

This week has been pretty dead.  After APUSH testing actually, the whole rest of the year feels pretty dead.  I have all A's and my grades aren't much of a concern right now however Mandarin is pretty low.  I've hadn't had much to do all week and just really tired.  The weather's been alright but at times, its just plain shit and I don't like the inconsistency of the temperature.  Otherwise, this was a normal boring week.

Before I Forget

Before I forget to do this, I had a pretty strange week. I sort of abandon all of my other classes a bit to get some extra APUSH study time in for the AP exam today.  I think I did alright, probably can get a solid 4 or 3.  I kind of release how fast the school year went by, especially looking at this blog because there are only about 40 blog post that are the weekly ones on my blog which doesn't feel like much but in truth, a year is only 52 weeks when you thing about it that way.  It just makes a year feel much shorter.  I guess high school is going faster than I thought.

Stuff From the Weekend

The weekend was pretty stormy and I wasn't able to go outside much.  I was kind of hoping to get outside and run but, the weather just wasn't nice enough for that.  I did get to see the choir concert which was fun but Arek got kicked off the stage for some reason.  It was probably because he was sick or something.  Other than that, I have AP testing coming up and haven't had time for much.

Blog for Another Week

I've been here in Chicago all Winter Break and it's quite boring.  I've been making some money every now and than and I've been enjoying myself to a few movies.  I've be outside running a bit and trying out some new places to eat.  I'm slightly worried about my last APUSH test since its the last one that can bump my grade up into an A.  Other than that, nothing special.

Week Was Short?

This week's gone by quite fast and I didn't expect my grades to dip down so much but everything's still an A which makes me feel alright.  There some on the boarder though, so I'll actually have to try now in some classes.  I had my chemistry test move which was great and today I have to go back to school to help with the IHSA (?) Orchestra stuff.  Other than that, great week.

Another Week Past

This week was a bit troublesome and slightly long.  I have lots of things to do and still need to study for an upcoming Chemistry test.  There's a lot of annotation that we have to do for English and I also went to see the play "Fools" this week.  It was great acting however I do have my critic about the play in whole.  I also am slightly sick, so I'm not feeling that well and swimming's a bit of a pain.  I've started writing part of my story which is going fine too.  Otherwise its been a tiring week.

Tired?

I don't know why but this week has just had me tired.  I've been wanting to sleep for days and next weeks suppose to be an incredibly lazy week since there's PARCC testing.  I've been pretty tired last week as well so I'm sort of clueless whats going on in class but none of my grades have drops so it should really have been that bad.  I need some sleep and I also need to make some more profit this week since I'm only down to my last hundred.  Other than that, its been a decent week.

March Week

Nothing really unique this week.  I had a lot of test and a few essays.  My DBQ for APUSH was surprisingly good and my Trig test probably wasn't to pretty but I think I managed to pull out of that pretty well.  I need to start retaking Trig standards soon so that I don't pile up lot of them and won't have anytime to retake them.  I also started swimming this week which was annoying since Asian hair is the hardest thing to comb.  Other than that, everything is good.

Dialogue III

Yen Lee
One hundred.  Marked on Arthur’s calendar was one hundred.  That was as long as she would be with him, as long as she would live.  He had come to accept that Lucy wouldn’t live past one hundred days, wouldn’t see herself become sixteen, wouldn’t be next to him, wouldn’t exist, in a hundred days.  He had so much to still tell her, to do with her, yet his only regret was that he still had not found away to show he truly loved her.
The phone rang and he would have not heard it if it had not been for dead silence in the room before it was shattered by the monotonous ring.
“Hello?” Arthur asked.  The phone was silent for a while, and for a moment, Arthur thought that his depression had finally hit his mind hard.  Out on the other side of the line, a weak voice came.
    “Arthur, I’ve missed you,”
    “Lucy?”
    “No, it's me Tina.”
Tina. The name brought back memories so old that they were buried too deep to remember.  Tina,  the regret of Arthur’s life, the girl who he had left alone to care for the half mute and blind friend that his heart had suddenly shifted towards.  Tina had no faults during their relationship, Arthur merely felt his love for her dying.
“Tina, it’s been awhile... but I’m busy right now.  I am sorry,”  Arthur said, ever so softly.
There was a small sniffle and then all he heard was phone.  She had hung up.  He had proved himself a failure.  Arthur’s mind whirled in confusion as he remember Tina, burrowing back up from the darkest corner of his mind.  He decided to call back.
     “Tina, are you…”
“Sorry I’m not available right now!  If there’s anything you really need or if we’re doing a project or something, just text me!”
Arthur sighed.  He hung up and held the phone for a while before making another call to Lucy.  She picked up.
“Arthur?” She said.  Her voice was dry and slow.
“Hey Lucy,”  Arthur replied.  “How are you doing?”
“...Fine, just fine.  You know Tina called me right?”
    Arthur was surprised.
     “Really?”
“Arthur, you never told me about this at all.  You shouldn’t have left her… you shouldn’t have been… so cruel.”
“Lucy, you were hurt, you needed help, we were friends…”
“You should have told me still.”
“So what do you want me to do!”  Arthur yelled.  There was a whimper and a silence.
“I want you to love her when I’m gone, as much as you did for me Arthur.”
“Don’t say that, you not going to leave me,”  Arthur realised how stupid it sounded for him to have said that.
“Arthur, please don’t lie yourself.  I have to go Arthur, but please, think about it… be happy and move on and back to who you belong.”
Arthur was silent and soon the phone went silent and then the room.  Although the summer day was clear and bright, the room still felt as cold as the winter air.

Another One

The week went by relatively fast.  I had a few test I had to do this week and we won for Floor Hockey in gym.  I'm pretty tired still since  I didn't get much sleep last night by everything's fine.  I had a relatively high grade on my APUSH test which should bump my grade up.  I had to finish a paper for APUSH and also start to study for the AP exam since its coming up soon.  I'm actually surprised how fast this year went.

Dialogue II

Outside the door, Jack could hear men calling to see if anyone was alive.

“I, I am!” Jack shouted with grief.  Several men dressed in heavy armor picked him up and put Jack onto a horse.  They were the knight of Valkyria; servants of The King.  Jack had fallen asleep as soon as his legs touched the horse.

“Hello, Sir?” A sweet voice from a young lady echoed in the vast bedroom.  Jack twitched and got up startled.

“Where am I?” He said with wide eyes. “Am I dead?”

The maid giggled and said “No, you’re safe within the King’s guestroom inside the Valkyrian Castle.” The lady was pale and skinny but her eyes were shinning beautifully.  “I heard you were found in the village of Ashlock.”

“That’s right, and what may be your name?”

“Envy, and what might be yours?”

“Ah,” Jack was mesmerized by the beauty of the young lady. “Oh, um, mines Jack, I am in my fifteen.”

Envy giggled again.  Her innocent eyes stared at Jack with her hands folded under her stomach.  She ran down the castle staring back into the room.  Jack could only but smile back knowing he had fallen in love.

Jack turned and gazed out the window. The moon was high in the sky, and he drifted on the bed dreaming of his lover.

"She's perfect," he whispered to himself. He could here her sweet voice whisper in his ear all night while he slept.

***

Years passed and Jack grew up the rest of his life in the Castle of the King, whose name was Charles.  Although Charles the king had a name, he preferred to be called The King or King of Valkyria instead.  Jack grew to his eighteen and was in need of a girl to marry.  Jack always wanted to propose to Envy.  But little did he know the King fancied her as well.

A Regular Week

Nothing really happened much this week, however I did get to shadow Mr. Fanning's son which was interesting.  I actually happen to just walk in to the library and didn't sign up for a shadow but got assigned one, which makes it ironic that I got Mr. Fanning's son.  The trig test I took wasn't to hard, just had to make sure to get my signs right.  I haven't been making much money this week which is kind of disappointing but I don't expect to make any for about a month.

Dialogue

My eyes and face became expressionless. With my friend shaking in horror like this I could assume that my situation was worse than I thought.  Jiro was a fan of trepidation and was never afraid of anything.
“Umm, just about today, I… I dreamt of him last night when I was sleeping.  What wrong with having a night mare about a tall guy?
“Oh shi -” Jiro was right about to swear when one off the staff members of the school threw Jiro a menacing look.
Rushing towards me, Jiro clasped his hands to his mouth, and whispered.  “This is serious; I have to see you after school in Gramhaden Woods.”
“Ok,” I whispered back softly.  Upon entering the school, I walked hastily to my locker, dumped my things down, and ran to class.  I couldn’t help but to feel afraid and have a feeling, someone or something, was behind me.
     “Drag, what’s up?”
Swaying around I saw a person cover with many layers of coats.  I wondered how he could walk.  I barely guessed who the person was until I saw his eyes.  Only Derp had eyes like those.
     “Hey, Derp?”
The thing replied, “Yeah, it’s me Derp, who else?”
     “Cool,”
I continue on my long journey to the classroom.  The light flashed a bit then went out. People screamed in fright and the girls hug each other as they produced a more horrid squeak.
“Calm down kids, nothing to worry about just a power surge.  We’ll get it back on as soon we fix the power box,” announced the principle, Mr. Seed.  He was a middle age man who was bald from his head all over.
Something wasn’t right though.  The lights dimmed and shut off, yes, but within this darkness was a… essence.  There was a feeling of a darker energy.  People’s voices seem to become more monotonic every second on the clock.  Voice began to go in a slower motion, too.

“Perhaps it’s just me,” I thought.

Week Upon Weeks

This was a fun week since I got my MacBook on Monday and cleared up a few test and projects.  I have quite a bit of things I still need to remember to do and I need to start studying for my AP exams now.  Stocks are pretty bad for my group in APUSH right now and we're not making any profit so we need to take a look into that for now.  Other than that, the week as been going quite well with some drama but it isn't to bad.

Weekend

Almost forgot about this blog.  I'm probably going to go to the Apple Store on Monday to buy me my MacBook and I've had split decisions whether to buy the MacBook Pro or just the MacBook.  I've got quite a bit of money at the moment.  I'm quite tired and I have an APUSH test this Tuesday that I a sure not ready for yet.  A lot of this are going on and I'm not sure if we have a journal check tomorrow. I hope not.

Another One

The start of a new semester is always boring but I guess having my grades back to ground zero kinda sucks too, knowing that I need to try again to get my grades to a decent average.  This weeks been pretty fun with Chinese New Years and things.  I also went to a pretty amazing buffet on Saturday which was a highlight of the week.  I'd definitely go back again.

After Finals

I survived finals!  My grades didn't drop (at least not letter-grade wise) and its Chinese New Years as well!  It's quite relaxing to know that finals is all over and many of the finals that I've taken weren't as bad as I suspected.  Trig finals were easy however APUSH was definitely a struggle.  Chemistry and English were also quite easy while Orchestra and Mandarin were pretty good.  Glad finals are over now!

Finals

Everything has been fine this week however finals is coming up and that is always nerve raking.  I'm not to worried about my finals as long as I don't completely boom them I should come out with all A's.  I'm more stressed about missing so more detailed things in some of the test and reviewing some of the old things I've learned way back.  Other that that the week has been fine.

Almost Finals

The weeks gone by just like the usual however, finals are coming up and I have quite a bit to study. I'm not too worried about Chemistry or APUSH but nonetheless, I have somethings to ponder about. I've been getting incredibly sleepy during 8th period for some reason and sometimes doze off.  The work load has gone up and I have a lot to do this weekend.

Boring Week of Somethings

This week was mostly well however it slightly annoys me that I miss one problem on my last few quizzes and also two on Act II.  I've been practicing violin quite a bit to the point where my fingers are hurting as I type this.  I just realized how out of shape I am after trying to run today.  I actually just remembered to do this right now so I'm quite satisfied and I'm trying to think if I'm missing any homework.  I finished Algebra II and I finished APUSH.  I had no Chemistry and I just finished English.  I had nothing else I believe.

Red Scare

The Red Scare of 1945 would be the second Red Scare to occur.  Right after World War II, America would become paranoid of once and ally now turned foe, the Soviet Union and Communism.  The Cold War would arise, a clash between the two superpowers in a race to create better and deadly weaponry, out class each other, and prove to be better than the other.  Thus the Red Scare in America would have many American’s in fear of a possible end to Democracy and that the communist and Soviet Union on U.S. were spies trading insider secrets with the Soviets.  People were accused unjustly and in a way it would be like the Salem Witch Trials.
The HUAC (House of Un-American Activities Committee) would join the anti-communism crusade to search America for communist and expose them to the public.  Harry Truman would issue a Loyalty Order, which would mandate that federal employee’s were loyal to the U.S. government.  Year’s later, around 1963; we would still continue to see some trace of the Red Scare after Kennedy was assassinated. Media and textbooks often mention that Lee Harvey Oswald was a possible Soviet who was sent to kill Kennedy or simple stating that Oswald was a Marxist.
American’s found themselves paranoid not just because of the actions that the law and anti-communist were taking, but because there were multiple events of communist bloom which would be exaggerated out by Media and anti-communist.  Some examples were the communist control of China, the Soviet nuclear bomb, the Korean War and years later the Vietnam War.  The increasing spread of Communism among the East would have American’s believed that the Red’s were getting to strong and could take over America one day.
The Red Scare would approach the point that politicians would go along with it.  They would set themselves up as though they were fierce anti-communist, ready to fight for Democracy to win favor of the people.  The first amendment was said to have not applied to communist because they represented a threat to the government. Those who question the lawfulness of the anti-communist actions would be shunned as a communist sympathizer and could even be fired from jobs.    Thus few dared to challenge these groups and the growing influence anti-communist groups would have on the people would expand.
The Red Scare was not the first time American’s would accuse other unjustly.  The Salem Witch Trials were one example of this.  The people who usually accused others of being witches were mostly young women and the caused, usually married women.  It is often speculated that these younger women accused others in jealously or to snatch husbands from married women.  In the Red Scare the Americans, could be considered the young women and the witches were usually innocent people.

It was not until the late 1950s before, American paranoia would falter and quiet down however deep down, it would continue to influence the mind set of the American people to believe that the Soviets and Communism could still possible come to end America’s reign as the worlds greatest superpower.  Until today, we still see movies which continue to support that the communist were the sole enemies of the U.S.

The First Week After Break

This week has been quite fine.  There's a bit of work that we had to do after the break but not enough to be stressful at least.  We're getting close to finals now even though progress reports just came out. I've got straight A's so far and hope to keep those up.  I've been pretty tired and haven't done much since break.
